Q: We are glad to begin our interview with you, Maryna! Let's start the conversation by talking about recent gambling trends. Endorphina is known for being a modern provider that launches new games every quarter. In your opinion, how do trend games compare to classic slots? Do you think they could eventually replace the traditional favorites?
M: Yes, current trends clearly indicate that players are seeking new, exciting game formats that offer fast-paced and interactive gameplay. Quick games like Aviator or crash games, as well as fish games, have gained popularity due to their dynamic nature and the opportunity to win quickly, which particularly appeals to a younger audience.
If you ask me, I’m confident that these types of games will definitely carve out their niche and attract fans for years to come. However, like any trend, their popularity will inevitably decline over time. They will continue attracting players, but, like any hype, it can go down. Therefore, it’s crucial for developers to stay ahead of the curve by continuously updating and improving their portfolios. This way, they can maintain players’ interest and ride the wave of hype for these types of games.
Q: Based on the previous question, which games Endorphina produced are most popular among casino players? What do you think is the reason for this?
M: Currently, the most popular Endorphina slots — Hell Hot 100, Lucky Streak 3, Joker Stoker, and Crown Coins — are thriving for many reasons, including great graphics and innovative slot creation. However, a key factor is the mathematical design behind the games. Careful research into market trends and player behavior drives the development of slot mechanics, ensuring they meet player expectations. This alignment between mathematics and player preferences has played a significant role in the growing popularity of these slots.
Q: What do you think about classic slots? Are they still at the top of the most popular games?
M: In my opinion, classic slots not only have a future but a rather stable and guaranteed one. The fact is, classic slots remain the go-to choice for many players due to their simplicity, familiarity, and nostalgic value. They offer a familiar and comfortable gaming experience that appeals to both newcomers and seasoned players alike. Moreover, developers are constantly updating classic slots by adding new features, graphics, and bonuses to make them more appealing to modern audiences. Innovations such as integration with progressive jackpots or new bonus round mechanics help ensure the continued relevance of classic slots for years to come.
Q: What is your opinion on live shows like Crazy Time or Monopoly Live? Do you plan to develop similar games, and how do you see the future of this genre?
M: These formats are definitely appealing to players, and in my opinion, this happens for several reasons. Interactivity, unpredictability, the show element, and the social aspect. This brings a sense of liveliness to the game and entertains on a different level compared to online slots. At Endorphina, we don’t plan on developing such games yet, but the market is unpredictable, so who knows what the future holds.
Q: Player preferences are crucial in developing new games, and Endorphina's presence in many markets means that your games are popular all over the world. Based on your experience, how do player preferences and behaviors vary across different regions?
M: Player behavior indeed varies depending on the country, and this is influenced by the cultural, social, and economic characteristics of each region. That’s why operator and provider brands adapt their slots and promotions to different markets.
Unfortunately, I can’t reveal the internal knowledge of our company, but I can share a few insights I’ve gathered from working in the global market.
For example, in Latin America, particularly Brazil, there is a strong interest in games with large jackpots and innovative mechanics.
In Asia, especially in Japan and South Korea, there is a preference for high-volatility slots and games themed around anime or pop culture. All this information is available if you stay up-to-date and study the latest market research. Perhaps we’ll be able to share similar insights soon.
Q: How do regulation and local market characteristics shape the industry's development in different regions? Specifically, how do you see the future of gambling in Poland, Austria, France, Portugal, Greece, and Asia?
M: In my opinion, all the markets you mentioned earlier have potential, but the approach to each is different, so this is a topic that could be discussed at length. However, I can say that all of these markets are developing under the strong influence of local regulations. In European countries like Poland, Austria, France, Portugal, and Greece, market regulation plays a crucial role in its growth. Some markets, like Poland, remain restricted due to strict regulatory constraints, while Austria and Portugal offer more freedom for the development of online casinos, despite challenges such as high taxes.
As for Asia, this region is very diverse in terms of regulation. There are mature markets like Macau and new promising regions, such as Japan.
Therefore, companies must find a balance between adhering to regulations and fostering innovation to meet player demand while driving market growth. Of course, it’s also essential to pay close attention to effective marketing and situational PR. Since all these countries differ in culture, perception, and various factors, time should be spent studying market trends and optimizing promotional efforts accordingly.
Q: Talking about the last year, which was very successful and productive for Endorphina, were there any new markets that you opened for cooperation in 2024?
M: Absolutely yes! Currently, our company is interested in the new market of Brazil. The Brazilian slots market is showing positive trends, particularly due to the overall growth of the casino industry in the region. This is a promising area for our company, and we are actively seeking partners for a successful entry into this market. We see great potential in collaborating with local players and believe that Brazil could become a key market for our business in the near future.
Q: As the new year begins, Endorphina certainly has ambitious goals and plans for the future. What are your main priorities for 2025? What is the vector of development and consolidation of your positions?
M: For further development and strengthening of our positions, we work as a team on effective strategies and research. We focus on player needs, innovative game mechanics, and engaging features. Localization and regional adaptation also play a huge role. When operating in a global market, understanding the need to adapt to different cultures is crucial. When entering a new market, it’s important to involve specialists, study the specifics, and, if necessary, even seek assistance from local companies. These are the key directions for our future growth.
